Storm damage, siding falling off, a split soffit — we assess, quote, and fix it right across Central Alberta.
Exterior Repairs & Replacement

Exterior Repairs & Replacement in Red Deer & Central Alberta
When siding is falling off, soffit is split, or a hailstorm has left its mark — send us a photo and we will tell you exactly what needs to happen. PJM has been diagnosing and fixing exterior problems across Central Alberta for over 20 years, with inspected workmanship and a price that does not change once we quote it.
Central Alberta's hail seasons hit hard and fast, and hail damage to James Hardie fibre cement, LP SmartSide, vinyl, and steel siding is a regular part of our repair work across Red Deer, Lacombe, Blackfalds, and the lake communities at Sylvan Lake, Gull Lake, and Buffalo Lake. Wind damage, sections blown free, split soffit runs, and incorrectly pitched eavestrough all fall within our scope. Some jobs need a single board colour-matched and replaced in a day; others need a full assessment and a phased repair. We scope each job on its merits, recommend the minimum work that solves the problem properly, and back everything with our workmanship warranty. Where damage is covered by insurance, our written, itemised assessment gives your adjuster a clear scope to work from — and if you are not sure whether what you are looking at warrants a call, send a photo and we will give you a straight answer before booking any site time.

What you get
Storm & Hail Damage
Central Alberta is one of Canada's most active hail corridors, and the damage is not always visible from the ground. We assess hail and wind damage thoroughly, separating cosmetic denting from structural compromise and prioritising what needs immediate repair to stay weather-tight, then carry out the work to restore your home's protection and appearance.
Siding Repair & Replacement
Damaged boards, split panels, or sections blown off in a storm — we replace what needs replacing and match the existing finish as closely as possible. Where a product line has been discontinued, we recommend the closest durable modern equivalent.
Soffit & Fascia Repair
Damaged or detached soffit affects both attic venting and the finished look of your roofline. We restore the structure, resecure or replace the affected runs, and leave the roofline clean and weather-tight.
Eavestrough Repair & Re-Sloping
Sagging, leaking, or incorrectly pitched eavestrough lets water pool and back up against your fascia and foundation. We re-slope, reseal, replace damaged sections, and repair or redirect downspouts to move water away from your home.
Colour & Finish Matching
Matching replacement material to the original finish is one of the trickiest parts of exterior repair. We carry products from the same lines used across Central Alberta and source the closest available match so repairs blend in rather than stand out.
Our process
- 1
Send a Photo & Describe the Problem
Start with a photo — text or email it to us with a brief description of what happened. For storm or hail damage, note when the event occurred. We use this to give you an informed first response before booking any site time.
- 2
On-Site Assessment & Quote
We come out, assess the full extent of the damage, and provide a clear written quote. The scope is defined before any work starts, and the quoted price does not change unless you change the scope.
- 3
Scheduled Repair
We schedule the repair to suit your timeline and carry it out properly — bringing the correct matching materials and finishing in a single visit wherever possible. No temporary patches, and no call-backs to finish what should have been done the first time.
- 4
Inspection & Sign-Off
Every PJM job is inspected before we leave. You get a finished, warrantied repair — not a rushed fix that needs to be redone in six months.

Exterior Repairs & Replacement FAQ
Do you handle small repairs, or only large jobs?
We handle both — from a few damaged boards to a full section of siding or eavestrough. Send us a photo and describe the problem; we will tell you whether it is a quick fix or something more involved, and we will not push unnecessary scope.
Can you match my existing siding colour and profile?
In most cases, yes. We work with the same product lines common throughout Central Alberta and will source the closest available match. If your original product has been discontinued, we recommend the nearest durable modern equivalent and show you what it will look like before proceeding. Where a seamless match is not achievable — a discontinued vinyl profile, or a weathered finish no current product replicates exactly — we tell you directly, show you the nearest option, and discuss whether a larger replacement makes for a cleaner result. We do not promise matches we cannot deliver.
Do you repair James Hardie and LP SmartSide siding?
Yes. James Hardie fibre cement and LP SmartSide are the products we most often repair across Central Alberta — they are what we install on new siding and cladding projects, so we know exactly how they go together and how they should be colour-matched. We also repair and re-slope soffit, fascia, and eavestrough. If your damaged boards are a discontinued colour or profile, we recommend the closest current equivalent and show you what it will look like before we proceed. For larger storm or hail damage that affects a significant portion of the exterior, we will tell you honestly whether a targeted repair or a full re-side makes more sense.
Do you repair storm and hail damage?
Yes. Storm and hail repairs are a regular part of our work — Central Alberta sees significant hail seasons. We assess the full extent of the damage, quote clearly, and carry out repairs or full replacement as required. LP SmartSide, for reference, carries a manufacturer warranty that covers hail damage up to 1.75 inches in diameter on properly installed and maintained panels.
Can you help with insurance documentation for hail or storm damage?
We work regularly with homeowners going through hail and storm-damage claims. Every repair starts with a written, itemised scope of work that documents what was damaged and what needs replacing — the same written quote we issue on every job, and yours to share with your insurer or adjuster. We do not act as a public adjuster, but our assessments are thorough: we separate cosmetic damage from structural compromise and put it in writing. The price we quote is the price we do the work for, with no change unless you change the scope — so your adjuster has a clear, fixed figure to work from.
How quickly can you come out after a storm?
After a significant hail or wind event, demand for repairs across the region spikes quickly. Contact us as soon as possible — we triage by severity and book assessments in order. Sending a photo upfront helps us prioritise correctly.
Is the repair work warrantied?
Yes. Our workmanship warranty applies to every repair we carry out, and any new materials installed carry the applicable manufacturer warranty. You also get the same price-lock guarantee as any PJM project — the quoted price does not change unless you change the scope.
